"Neurodiversity; Supporting Children's Participation" - Rachel Toppin, Key Connections Services

This session will discuss common neurodiverse diagnoses, how we can support these children through play, and how to encourage participation in different environments. *Certification Course - certificate of completion awarded to attendees*

"Don't They Get This At School?"; How To Talk To Your Kids About Sex - Tami Buroker, Alberta Health Services

A relaxed and upfront approach, this session will answer the questions; what, when, how, and how much to tell your kids. For parents of kids aged 0-12, but relevant for all ages.

 

"enRICH Your Kids" - #1 - Dallin Mendenhall, Money Mentors

Everything you need to know about children and money! Learn how to talk to kids about money, set expectations, determine appropriate allowances, and teach children basic banking skills.

"Infant Massage" - Nicole Stafford, Brighter Futures

Learn some basic infant massage skills to promote health and happiness in infants 0-18 months. Babies welcome, but not neccesary for this workshop.

 

Lunch Break:

Adults and Children join up for a yummy lunch and some family fun and entertainment! Balloon animals, games, and lively musical entertainment by local musician Becky Pichurski!

"ABM NeuroMovement Workshop; Supporting the Growth of Children with Special Needs" - Sue Burgman, Mountain NeuroConnect

This workshop entails a NeuroMovement Group Lesson as well as a discussion about how to facilitate positive brain change for our children, to help them improve on physical, emotional and cognitive levels. ABM NeuroMovement is a scientific based approach to take advantage of neuroplasticity, the incredible power of our brain to change itself. It is used to improve the lives of children with various conditions, from Autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Genetic Disorders, Developmental Delays, Stroke, Brain Damage, and more. Parents and professionals, who are working with children with special needs are encouraged to attend.

 

"Attachment; Bonds Throughout Life" - David Combden, Crowsnest Counselling Services

Using David's diverse experience and expertise in psychology, this session will dive into learning all about Attachment, and it's effects on parents and children.
